Atlantic Canada is the region of Canada comprising the four provinces located on the Atlantic coast, excluding Quebec. The Atlantic Pilot Program is aimed to complete a minimum of 80% processing of complete application in 6 months or lesser. It is created in other to welcome additional newcomers to the Atlantic Canada region and to fill the needs of local employers and communities. The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is a partnership between the Federal Government of Canada and the four Atlantic provinces:

  • New Brunswick
  • Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Nova Scotia
  • Prince Edward Island

Qualified candidates must have a prior job offer, thus, the program will involve employers to complete the processing and make it a swift and effective program. The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program allows Atlantic employers to be able to hire qualified candidates for jobs that they haven’t been able to fill locally. You can be a resident in Canada or be there temporary, you are required to  have a job offer before you can apply. This means you can live and work in Canada.

There are two programs for skilled workers at the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program:

  • Atlantic High-Skilled Program (AHSP)
  • Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program (AISP)

However, there’s one program for international graduates student:

  • Atlantic International Graduate Program (AIGP)

The work experience, education, and job offer required will depend on whether the individual is applying as a worker or as an international student graduate. The other requirements are the same for both. The program is ready and has opened a number of opportunities for interested and deserving applicants. It has always been a  popular place for immigrants and with  this program, it will be more efficient and smooth. With this made easy, anyone with the required documents and skill set can hope to be working and settling within 6 months or less.
